Yeshua was a Jew, born of a Jewish mother, in the Jewish city of Bethlehem, in the Jewish land of Israel. Not only was He a Jew, He lived an Orthodox Jewish lifestyle.
Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
When He returns, He will rule and reign as a Torah observant Jew.

His first followers were Jewish. His twelve disciples were Jewish. The first 3,000 and 5,000 conversions at Pentecost, which is God's Feast of Lev 23, the Holy Spirit desended upon the attendees of the feast.
Act 2:41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
They were all Jews. So the congregation of believers are Jews and torah observant keeping the feasts and beliving that Yeshua is the Messiah promised them.

The Bible itself was written by Jews for those of the Judaism faith. The Messiah's sacrifice and atonement is rooted in the Jewish sacrificial system. The Lord's Supper is rooted in the Jewish Passover. Immersion (baptism) is a Jewish practice known as mikvah. Yeshua was promised by the Jewish prophet Jeremiah. The very concept of a Messiah is exclusively Jewish.

Let's continue on. Through the death of Yeshua under the New Covenant, God made provision for Gentile believers to be "grafted" into the house of Israel (Rom.11). Gentile believers are fellow citizens of the nation of Israel (Rom.11:5,17; Eph.2:11-13,19). Believers are encouraged to study the writings of Moses and learn and adhere to the Torah which was taught in the synagogues every Sabbath even long after the death of Yeshua.(Acts 15:21).

Nowhere in Scripture does Paul state that God's instructions, the TORAH, the law, is done away with. In fact, he states that it is good, just, holy, spiritual, and excellent, and that he believed and fully followed the things written in the law and in the prophets (Rom.7:12, 14; 2:18; Acts 21:24;24:14). Paul took a Nazarene vow (Num.6) to prove that he was a Torah observant Jew and taught believers in Yeshua to be Torah observant.

Of course Christianity has Jewish roots adn I think it is important to understand that and realize that the Law was not done away with and that we are actually held to a higher standard than the Old Testament believers, we are to be in the spiritual realm rathe rthan the physical one.

Spiritual realm is always manifested in the physical one. Thus believers reveal their spiritual walk in their actions and attitude that reflects what God's Will. We are not even to look with lust, as it is the higher standard.
