IMO, yes. The reality that all die is evidence enough. "The result of SIN is death."

Convicted in what way? To be aware of their sin and repent?

I have heard some Christians claim that we can't expect non-Christians to be convicted by God's Law but I find that to be ridiculous.

Sure! That is how sinners get saved.

Pretty much a short version of what I was going to say.

If a non-Christian isn't convicted of their sin, why would they ever repent of it? Why would they ever accept Jesus as their Savior unless they came to understand that they needed to be saved in the first place?

Convictions, conscientious decisions, moral compass in line with many of God's laws, all indicate guidance from above and obedience to that little small voice.

It is a very big assumption to make that just because someone does not share one's particular religious beliefs, they are without a conscience or have no sensitivity to things that are common to many faiths, Christianity included.

Why should any Christian be surprised if someone of any other faith takes a strong stance against theft or murder, or who is a thief or murderer who feels remorse for things they have done?

He has sheep who don't even know His name but follow Him. He has sheep who are not of "this" fold. They hear His voice and follow Him. God seems happy with that. To me that is saying, they have a moral compass, a conscience, integrity, common sense, have compassion, loving all around them, living to help others, and are truly looking for the only true Creator God.

It is a big assumption, although I didn't notice anyone obviously making it (feel free to point out if I missed something).

It's sad when sometimes non-Christians act in a more Christ-like manner than those who claim the name of Christ. When Jesus said the two greatest commandments were to love God and love each other it's pretty sad to see churches where love appears to be absent.

I thought those verses were indicative of the Gentiles when spoken to the Jews since they thought they were an exclusive club?

I do think there are some "non-Christians" who are given faith yet ever so small that it is (not fully rejecting it) and someday it will grow inside of them, maybe even at their deaths. It's not the amount of faith for salvation.

At the moment Yeshua said it, there were those who were what He was talking about. Remember the centurion who came to Him about his daughter and afterwards Yeshua turned to those around Him and said, that He has not seen such faith in all of Israel. There were no Christians at that time.

*for when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves,*15*who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves*their*thoughts accusing or else excusing*them)*16*in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel.
