What do you think about the areas that are not arresting people who are committing crimes or prosecuting them at this time due to the virus?

Depends. From what i have seen about this it is for non violent offenses and they would be given a ticket to appear later. And if it is done selectively I dont see a problem with releasing some of the prisioners but not all.

UGH I didn't think of that and someone had posted on my local FB page about how the lines were down the street at a place where guns/ammo is sold. I didn't make the connection but that's scary to think that people feel they have freedom who might commit more crimes because it's not important enough or safe enough to go after them.

There is a Cabelas (big hunting and camping store) where I live and last Friday they had a run on guns and sold out, and they ran out of ammo to sell. I liked it better when stores were running out of toilet paper.

Nonviolent crimes, particularly things that are arguably not a particularly big deal and maybe shouldn't really be crimes at all, are obviously a very different thing. If they release people from prison who are only there for low-level drug offenses and the like I wouldn't see a problem with that - the person who has been caught several times with marijuana really isn't a danger to society so doesn't need to be locked up at all.

I never heard of this and this is news to me. If that is the case it's government officials who should be held responsible as they would be breaking the laws themselves by allowing it. This is definitely wrong unless you mean delaying court cases which then it's not as bad. They seem to be toying with the law too much recently.

Oh no it was the police actually turning their backs on small crime. I think these were mainly in the cities where the virus had hit hard and the police wanted to keep their distance plus they were working on crowd control on other areas and that took precedence.

In the meantime, if this article is to be believed, it seems a county in California (where else?) is threatening to jail Christians for the very serious crime of.... playing music in a church for the purpose of live streaming a service.
